Firstly....its not that great of a secret now but I've come to the decision that I'm stepping aside as the all powerful 'Dear Leader' of the Awful Dodgers next season.
The main reason being that due to circumstances away from Dodgeball I won't be able to guarantee my services financially or 'organisationally' beyond the end of May.
I really don't want the team and friendships to collapse so that's why I've given you plenty of notice to allow someone to take over the reins.
Please e-mail me if you are interested. It would be good to sort it out soon as it won't be long before the registration opens for next season. Traditionally there is an early bird discount for teams that pay in advance that helps keep costs down for everyone involved.
The best idea might be for 2 people to run the show. Each looking after each team and sharing in a nice way when one team is short of players.
I've loved every minute of running the teams and for as long as I'm in London I'll enthusiastically offer my services as a player a recruiter.
That doesn't mean my work is done just yet! There's a few opportunities for socials looming!

1. Team Meal at Vinoteca....
I'm not the only one moving on. In his continuing bid to become the Canadian Delia Smith John will shortly be leaving Vinoteca to further his rise to the top of London's restaurant scene.
Before he leaves John has suggested we have a team meal in the restaurant's private dining room.
John and his team will pull out all the stops. The room takes about 30 people and for food AND WINE he's estimated we could do it for £50 a head.
This is usually way above my budget....I'd have to be a pretty sure thing to be spending this kind of cash on a dare that's foe sure...but as a one off I'm all over this!
Initially this will be open to players old and new...with the invite being extended to Dodgeball WAGs and whatever the male equivalent is whenever we have an idea of numbers.
Date to be confirmed but we don't have too much time to play with. Shall we aim for an evening near the end of March?

4. Anyone want to be on a pilot for a game show?
Running a 'club' sometimes presents some weird and wonderful opportunities. I received an e-mail today inviting us to apply to be a team on a 'not to air' ITV game show pilot from a TV production company.
ITV....uurrrggghhh....I reckon we should hang out for the BBC! We're classier than that.
E-mail me if you want a shot at stardom.
